<description>We stayed in wonderful Alfama for two weeks in Feb. 2010, and this was one of our favorite places. Our first night in Lisbon, we stopped in for a glass of wine after a long journey from California, and ended up going back to our apartment to make a couple of Carnaval masks out of tourist maps, and we returned to dance the night away at the Carnaval party that was going on. We had great food and wine, listened to great music with lots of new friends from across the globe, and we laughed and carried on into the wee hours. The staff is so friendly and welcoming--we found ourselves returning again and again. Another night we enjoyed a lovely Indian and Tibetan meal with many of the same crowd from the Carnaval party. Great ambience, great people, great food, and big big fun! It is a peaceful, restful place and a also a great place to have a party!

Many thanks to our Alfama friends! Abrigada!
