Another horrifying edition of Motelx, Lisbon’s International Horror Film Festival, is back later this month and the guest of honor is George Romero, the legendary director of 1968’s Night of the Living Dead and 1978’s Dawn of the Dead. In addition to attending the screenings, he’ll also present a masterclass and show his latest film, Survival of the Dead together with his lesser-known works from the 1970s and 80s.
In this fourth year of the annual festival there will be five days of films, all still devoted to the supernatural, gore, monsters and psychological thrills. The goal of the festival is simply to share, celebrate and promote a passion for the horror genre, but there is a prize for the Best Portuguese Horror Short Film.
This year it’s happening from the 29th of September to the 3rd of October in Cinema São Jorge and you can get more details about the scheduled program at the official website: http://www.motelx.org/
