The New Restaurant at the Top of Lisbon’s Landmark Santa Justa Elevator

Bella Lisa Elevador

Every tourist to Lisbon can’t resist stopping at the landmark Santa Justa Elevator, either to take a photo or for the charming ride to the top which offers one of the best city views. Now there is a new restaurant on the upper level (“Bella Lisa Elevador“), next to the ruins of Carmo Convent where you can take a break and have a meal as you look over Lisbon.
It opens every day at noon with an Italian menu created by a native Italian, and is filled with pizzas (of the Naples thicker-crust kind), pastas, and the known Italian desserts such as tiramisu.
After midnight it becomes the “Lift Club,” a bar with live music and cocktails until 2AM.
To reach it you don’t have to ride the elevator, you simply look for the entrance to the right of the Carmo Convent fa├žade.
