It's an excellent restaurant overall and good value of money for sure! The chicken was delicious and went perfectly well with the piri piri sauce. My girlfriend loved the chicken rice soup there as well. We went at late afternoon and got nice service by the waiter.

If I ever visit Lisbon again I will definitely dine there again~ It's along the main street where most of the nice restaurants are located close to the Restauradores station.

Coudn't agree more with Tom. It's a good restaurant and we enjoy it everytime again. But maybe that's because we're also KLM.

I have been eating in Bom Jardim since 1980. A haven for cruise ship staff and entertainers due to cruise ship food being so so ! Scotty McLean.

I love Bonjardim, I have been going there for over 23 years and it's the best for Chicken PiriPiri. The waiters have also been there for years and it's a must if you want a cheap local Portuguese meal. When the cruise ships are in, it's not unusual to find the place full of crew and entertainers.

Excellent Chicken... in the UK Nando`s are attempting to duplicate this style of Portugese restaurant....... they have a long way to go , well worth a trip and very reasonably priced !

Beaware of the service. We were visitors. The moment we entered the restaurant, one of the servers insisted we sit in his area. He is too slow. Did not pay attention and he did not treat us well. Chicken is salty but not bad. I should say we are disappointed

For more than 30 years this restaurant has been - and still is - frequented by thousands of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines airline crew during their lay over in Lisboa.
They have chosen this Restaurant as "The-Best-Place-In-The-World-for-Chicken-Piri-Piri".
It is very Portuguese; during lunch, around 13:00, and dinner, around 19:30, this place is full with locals. Hardly any tourists to be found. Super!
The waiters are very polite, to be a waiter here is still a true profession.
Take the chicken (Frango Assado) with just Patatas Fritas and a Salada Mixta.
Together with a sparkling cool Vinho Verde (Casal Garcia is absolutely the best!), you're in gastronomic heaven....

Bonjardim Eternamente!
