We ate here recently with high expectations and were very disappointed. The
view and appointments were lovely, the service, especially wine service was
poor with little guidance in choices, used glasses not removed, wine not
refilled and lack of attention from the staff generally. The food was
over-salted, under-heated and really not creative. I have had better duck
at a good French bistro.
I think this restaurant lost its Michelin star in 2010, though it is still
listed as a good restaurant by Michelin. I have eaten at starred
restaurants and this does not compare at all.

We were here in jan. 2012 and could not find a 3 cousrse meal for 40 euro.
The min. was 79 euro ex wine.
The food was reasonable, the service very formal.
In short, far to expensive and no star worth.

Dear Sir,
My daughter and I have just returned from 5 days in Lisbon and Eleven was
by far the worst restaurant experience we had especially for service. The
food was reasonable , but the main course which arrived 45 minutes after
the soup was cold. I had no qualms about the cost but I do expect service
from a Michelin starred restaurant along the lines of the Mirabelle in Rome
and the Tantris in Munich in which the service was impecible. In my opinion
Eleven does not deserve its rating.

Dear Sir,
Dear Madam,
We just arrived from the Eleven. This, indeed, was a Michelin-starred
experience. But contrarily to what is said on this internet site, it costs
at least 220 euros for two persons if you take the "Eleven" meal course
which is composed of seven services (74 euros) plus the wines (35
euros)(one glass and a half of petit chablis, one glass of a special
portuguese cuvée from the restaurant owner, and one glass and a hald of
berenauslese). If you go by the card, good luck in doing better than that.
However, this is indeed perfection. The service, the beauty (plates,
utensils, glasses + the view), the food also, a no fault except for the
spoons at the beginning (mise en bouche). in sum, you pay for an
exceptional experience.
