The Espalha Brasas restaurant enjoys a privileged location in the lively Docas area. It is very spacious, with room for more than 120 diners inside and more than 70 on the terrace, with beautiful views of the marina, the River Tagus and the spectacular 25th April Bridge.

It is a sophisticated yet unpretentious restaurant which offers traditional Portuguese cuisine in general and grilled meats and fish in particular. Their specialities include a wonderful Sopa do Mar no Pão, which is a large bread loaf, hollowed out and filled with delicious fish and seafood soup (see photo below)

The restaurant is easily accessible by public or private transport and is practically the only restaurant in this area which is open on Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, even when the aforementioned dates fall on a Sunday.

Opening hours: 12pm to 2am, everyday except Sundays, when the restaurant closes. The grill closes at 1am.
