This restaurant still has ring chains and a well from the building's former incarnation as a stable for horses. Until recently it was also a fado house, but is now only devoted to food, with bright orange walls decorated with pictures of Lisbon at night. The menu consists of Portuguese meat and fish dishes.

Hi George,
This restaurant no longer offers Fado.
I don't have any information on the whereabouts of fadista Fernanda Maria,
but apparently she's made some recordings in Fado compilations.

I have read for many years that the fado singer, Fernanda Maria, sang in
that restaurant. Is she still the owner or did she sell the restaurant? I
hope that someone can respond. Fernanda Maria is a beautiful fado singer
and she has a very beautiful voice when she sings fados.

A beautiful dinner out in Lisbon. This restaurant had classy and efficient
service, delicious food and a dessert trolley to tempt everyone! Just be
aware that you pay for the appetisers provided at the beginning of the meal
(about 11 for cheese, bread, butters and olives- they were very tasty). I
would highly recommend this restaurant.
