We visited Nariz do Vinho Tinto Restaurant on our weddding anniversary -
Oct 2nd 2010. Don't be put off by the bell as you need to ring the bell to
gain access but once you enter this charming restaurant the warm welcome
and delicious food could not be faulted. It is understated and small but
very authentic. The appertisers were stunning. My husband is a tomato
expert and was bowled over by the flavour of the cherry tomatoes with olive
oil, salt and origano. We chose the clams as a starter which were a special
for the evening, which were fresh and delicious.(rather like moules
mariner) My husband had sole with banana, which was succulent and
brilliantly cooked. I had the black pork which was good quality meat which
was perfectly cooked. We chose pudim flan, an authentic dish of Portugal
which was the best we have tasted. The chocolate mousse was moorish. They
recommended the wine which accompanied the meal perfectly and was no
expensive. We thought it very good value for money. The food was authentic
and good quality. Could not be faulted.
