The Picanha Belem restaurant enjoys a privileged location in the Belém district. This is a wonderful spot to sit outside and eat, as the terrace is situated on a pleasant, tranquil, cobbled esplanade that also looks on to a green park area. Should the weather not accompany, the restaurant has a number of inside tables.
This is a Brasilian restaurant, and the speciality here is 'picanha' meat, which is famous in Brasil and other South American countries as being the most tender cut of beef, the rump cover cut.

The meat is grilled and served in small dishes with cheese potatoes, salad, rice and 'frijole' beans as garnish. The menu also includes other grilled meats, salads and tropical fruit deserts, but the recommended option here has to be the tasty and tender picanha meat.
Of course, it's possible to accompany this dish with wine, fruit juices or the popular Brasilian caiprinha, made with Velho Barreiro cachaça.
This is the sister restaurant of the Picanha Restaurante Janelas Verdes, and the Picanha restaurant in Madrid.
