Inaugurated in 1986 by Maria de Jesus Ferreira, and located in the Beato dsitrict of Lisbon close to the Beato Church, the Restaurante D'Avis offers a traditional Alentejan menu together with other typical regional Portuguese dishes.
It serves regional dishes such as roast pork with clams, roast baby goat, steaming bowls of caldo verde (a fortifying soup made from high-fiber greens and potatoes), and perfectly prepared fresh fish. Other specialities include lamb stew, cod açorda, Migas de Batata (Mashed Potatoes) with Pork and Cabritinho (Baby goat) à Pastorinha.

This is a simple, unpretentious and rustic establishment, and is located in the east of the city, with parking facilities.
