Lisbon's abundant sunshine reflects back from the Tagus River onto the white walls of the city's churches and monuments, making these buildings even more radiant -- especially when mixed with the blue sky and the multitude of colors emanating from the houses' tiled façades and rooftops. All of that combined creates the luminous, harmonious beauty that is Lisbon.
