Panoramic Photo
LISBON IN 360º
This 360º panaramic photo below was taken on 10th May 2012 at the Portas do Sol viewpoint.
If you click the photo and then move the mouse to the right, you can see first of all the ramp leading down
to the Portas do Sol carpark, the large white sunshades of the
Portas do Sol Café & Restaurant and on the horizon the domes of the
São Vicente
de Fora Monastery and the
Santa Engracia
church, also know as the National Pantheon. And then further to the right, closer to
the river, the Santo Estêvão Church.
Following this panoramic photo round, we see the expansive Tagus Estuary and then the kiosque café where tourists and
locals alike sit outside taking welcome refreshment and enjoying the
views. Next comes the St. Vincent
statue, behind which we can see a typical Lisbon taxi coming up the hill from the
Miradouro de Santa Luzia, literally just round the corner but out of sight.
If we were to continue down this street, we would eventually come to Lisbon's Sé, or
Cathedral.
To the right of this street is the
Decorative Arts Museum, and moving further right we see the open
area known as the Largo das Portas do Sol, with the famous yellow 28 tram
approaching from behind the trees.
