The
Fatima Half Day Tour is another good tour to look into. This can be an intensely religious experience, but is open to those of all denominations. Travel to Fatima through the Extremadura Landscape, which is eye-catching and glorious to behold.
Once there, you can then go on to visit the sanctuary that houses the tombs of Francisco and Jacinta, or visit the Small Chapel, which was built over the site where Our Lady appeared to the three young Shepherds (Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta) in 1917.
There is plenty of time allowed for free exploration of the town and its various buildings, as well, which means visitors can get an uninterrupted view of the area. If you're lucky enough, you may be able to witness or participate in a local Mass at the chapel.
It's wise to note that the tour is seasonal, running from between April and October, and it does not run on the 12th or 13th of every month. The tour commences in the early afternoon (2.30pm), so make sure to be there in plenty of time. Prices start around
56 euros pp, and it is well worth the money.
