The Troia Peninsula, by the Sado estuary, has several superb soft sand
beaches. A frequent car ferry service departs from the port in Setubal,
reaching Troia in 15 minutes.
Some areas are highly developed (including an
exceptional 18-hole golf course), but along its 18km (11 miles) of coast,
you can find untouched sandy beaches lined with dunes and pinewoods.
